To protect data and system backups from ransomware and other attacks, Arcserve 9000 Series Appliances are integrated with Sophos Intercept-X Advanced for Server, advanced endpoint protection that combines a signature-based and signatureless malware detection, a deep learning neural network, anti-exploit technology, CryptoGuard anti-ransomware and WipeGuard technologies, to stop the widest range of endpoint threats.

Ransomware recovery is achieved through full integration with Arcserve UDP software, Arcserve UDP Cloud Hybrid, Arcserve Backup and Arcserve Continuous Availability. The software is pre-installed on state-of-the-art hardware and delivered with a quick install kit and configuration wizard that makes them incredibly easy to deploy.

Expansion Kits

Arcserve Appliance Expansion Kits allow you to quickly and easily add additional storage capacity and RAM to manage data growth. Simply get the kit and add the HDDs and RAM to the appliance itself - no shelves or additional hardware required!

The table below outlines the available models for optional expansion kits, and the resulting effective capacity of your appliance. Please note:

• Expansion Kit compatibility depends on the model of the appliance and the kit itself. Only the compatible models and configurations are supported and listed in the table below.
• An Expansion Kit can be installed on the appliance only once.
• Expanding appliance capacity is only possible via optional Expansion Kits supplied by Arcserve
  

RAM Expansion Kits

Arcserve Appliances include a significant amount of RAM to satisfy most disaster recovery and backup needs.

If you have critical servers with large amounts of RAM, you can expand the RAM capacity of the appliance to spin up virtual copies of these servers in the event of hardware failure or during other local disasters.

The table below outlines the possible configurations and resulting RAM sizes. Please note:

• Arcserve Appliance RAM can be expanded only with RAM expansion kits listed below.
• To maintain maximum performance, expanded DIMMs have the same capacities and models as the RAM installed in the base model originally.
• Appliance models 9012, 9024 and 9048 have 16 DIMM slots on the dual-socket motherboard, however as these models have only one CPU installed, a maximum of 10 DIMM slots can be populated.
• Expanding appliance RAM capacity is only possible via optional RAM expansion bundles supplied by Arcserve, and only in the compatible configurations listed below.

Spares Kits

Maintenance and support for Arcserve Appliances include on-site hardware replacement support in as-fast-as four hours or on the next business day. In some situations, you may want to ensure even faster turnaround time by getting an optional Spare Kit - the set of spare parts allowing you to reduce the time to fix hardware issues further.

Spares Kits include spare HDD, SSD, RAM, power supply and a fan.

Software Upgrades and Cloud Options

Your Arcserve Appliance comes bundled with proven Arcserve UDP software to ensure reliable disaster recovery and backup for all your production workloads and data. You can expand the functionality of your appliance even further by upgrading the edition of UDP software, and by adding optional high availability or cloud services.

Arcserve UDP Premium Edition upgrade enables you to add:
